Simranpreet completed a Bachelor of Science in Integrated Sciences from the University of British Columbia (May 2022), followed by a Master of Science degree in Microbiology and Immunology. Her MSc thesis research evaluated the predictive utility of adult-derived biomarkers in paediatric-onset vasculitis and was supported by a Canadian Institutes for Health Research Studentship. Simran is currently a second year medical student at the University of British Columbia and is continuing research in the Brown Lab using spatial transcriptomics to understand mechanisms of renal vasculitis. When not in the lab, Simran enjoys bouldering and long walks with her dog.
